Introducing NGO Te Protejo’s Advisory Board
During this year, a new body has joined the governance of our organization: the Advisory Board. With the help to this group of people we can make strategic decisions with a vision of future thanks to the expertise of those who are part of it. Find out more details in this post.
Advisory Boards are informal bodies composed of various professionals, who serve as support and direction for organizations or other entities. The purpose of these boards can be varied as required, all of them oriented to accelerate growth and improve competitiveness.
In the case of NGO Te Protejo, the Council was created with the purpose of ensuring a vision of sustainability and providing us with strategic management to continue our work in favor of animals.
Currently, our advisory board is conformed by four professionals who provide support in the areas of Strategy & Development for the five Te Protejo departments: Administration and Finance, Awareness, Liaison, Certifications and Advocacy. Get to know them here!
Jessica González
Jessica Gonzalez is a Mexican social entrepreneur and currently the Latin American director for Generación Vegana (GenV). Throughout her career, she has founded the first vegan community center in Mexico, Casa Animal.
Given her experience, she possesses leadership and digital marketing strategy skills, in addition to offering an innovative and diverse perspective to the community. Jessica is now part of our Advisory Board in the area of Awareness & Communications, giving input and recommendations for the leadership of our digital communities and communication strategies.
Denisse Jiménez
Denisse Jiménez is an advisor to our Advocacy area. Outside the organization, she is a Chilean political scientist with vast experience in the public sector in the areas of design and implementation of public policies, follow-up of presidential commitments, planning and management control, citizen participation and transparency.
Throughout her work experience, she has coordinated and guided our organization in the elaboration of the bill bulletin 10.514-11, which pursued the ban of animal testing for cosmetic products. Fortunately, this project was approved and enacted into law in Chile (Law number 21.646).
Chris Keating
Chris Keating is responsible for advising our organization on strategy and business management. He has 50 years of leadership experience as a director and member of multiple boards and foundations.
Of U.S. nationality, throughout his professional experience he has worked with small businesses and large international corporations, assisting and helping them to identify and clarify problems, providing guidance for actions and solutions based on lived experience and common sense. He has also specialized in education, coaching and mentoring. Chris has been a mentor to the founding board of Te Protejo since 2020, assisting them in strategic decision making at management, planning and financial levels.
Felipe Morales
After eleven years as a member of our volunteer team, Felipe Morales is currently part of our Advisory Board team.
Felipe is a Chilean communicator specialized in Internet and New Technologies, with special emphasis on Information architecture, usability and Multimedia Scripting in different interfaces. Thanks to his great skills and knowledge, Felipe is part of our advisory board reinforcing and guiding the area of Technology and Development of Te Protejo.
We are very happy and grateful to be able to count on these great professionals for guidance, support and supervision of our work as an organization. Thanks to their skills, we hope to continue doing our work in the most professional and integral way in favor of animals and the environment.
