Who we are
Te Protejo is a non-profit organization that promotes the use of personal care and hygiene products that are cruelty free, along with other initiatives respectful towards environment and animals.
We have a network of more than 100 volunteers in our areas of work, who help us spread information about the mission of our NGO, to raise awareness about animal protection. We are winners of Lush Prize 2017, and Viva Schmidheiny awards in 2019 and 2020.

MISSION
Raise awareness and inform cosmetic consumers about responsible consumption and organizations respectful towards our environment in four main areas: Awareness, Certification, Alliances, and Advocacy.
VISION
Expand the work of the NGO throughout Latin America, informing consumers and empowering them to make consumption decisions that respect animals and the environment.

Camila Cortínez
President
General Director and Founder of NGO Te Protejo, over ten years of experience in project management & development, in addition to the leadership of non-governmental organizations in the environmental and animalistic areas. She has been selected as a young entrepreneur in Youth Action Net Chile, Young Leaders of El Mercurio, and Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative.

Daniela Medina
Treasurer
Director of Management and Finance at NGO Te Protejo. Has more than six years of experience in financial and administrative management and volunteer coordination of non-governmental organizations. An enthusiast of teamwork, she has raised and trained the NGO’s team of activists and is part of the founding board of the organization.

Nicole Valdebenito
Director
Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs. She is a journalist and social communicator with more than ten years of experience in content generation, management, and relationships with key stakeholders, as well as editor of print publications and web content. She is in charge of the dissemination and awareness area of the organization, in addition to leading its corporate area in the countries where the NGO is present.

Marisol Queupumil
Secretary
Certifications Coordinator in NGO Te Protejo as well as for the Leaping Bunny program in LATAM. She has an Industrial Civil Engineer degree. She takes part on the organization’s board, performing as secretary. In charge of the review, approval, and registration of technical documents required during the certification process, proving that cosmetic products and their formulation have not been tested on animals.

Yolanda López
Entailment Manager
Has more than ten years of experience in Cultural Management and event production. Own experience working in various educational and non-profit organizations. She is in charge of the logistics and production of the Ecobelleza events of NGO Te Protejo, which are oriented on the relationship between brands and conscious consumption.

Camila Díaz
Administration Manager
She graduated in Business Engineering with a mention in Administration at Universidad Diego Portales. With 3 years of experience in the professional business field, she is in charge of the correct development of the human resources area and the finance area.

Siria Mora
Certification Manager
Owns more than 10 years of experience on the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry within the cosmetic industry. She has experience in the development of cosmetic products from the beginning following all the stages of development until market launch.

Catalina Portales
Latam Manager
Owns a Social Communication degree, in addition to a journalism career forged on the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. She has collaborated in the organization as a volunteer since 2015 and, currently, she is responsible for the Latin American NGO Te Protejo’s expansion, in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.

Marisol Queupumil
Certification Coordinator

Sofía Fonseca
Design Coordinator
Owns a Graphic Design degree from the University of Chile. Has over 2 years of work experience creating graphic pieces, in addition, to updating the #ViveCrueltyFree phone application. She is in charge of the Design volunteer team of the NGO.

Rubí Borbolla
Digital Coordinator
Owns a Communication and Digital Media degree from the ITESM of Mexico. Has over 4 years of work experience in communications, taking charge of digital platforms and social networks, the cruelty-free brands list which hosts all countries’ brands where the organization has a presence, and the Vlog volunteer team.

Shareni Rueda
Content Cordinator
She has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Del Valle de México. She is responsible for the creation and coordination of the content of the different areas, the supervision of the team of bloggers in Mexico and the expansion of information in the social networks of Colombia, Argentina and Peru.
